North York is a mix of housing eras and building types: 1950s and 1960s houses in Willowdale, Bathurst Manor and Don Mills still running 100-amp panels or fuse boxes, 1970s apartment towers, and new condos along Sheppard and Yonge that need EV chargers and load calculations. On the commercial side, Yonge Street retail, North York Centre offices and the industrial pockets around Downsview and Alness each have their own requirements. We scope the work, file the ESA notification and leave a clean, documented installation.
In business since 1996, North York Electrical Inc. is an ESA-licensed (#7011426), insured and WSIB-covered electrical contractor based at 27 Masi Court in Woodbridge, about fifteen minutes from North York. We work across the former City of North York: Willowdale, Newtonbrook, Bayview Village, Don Mills, York Mills, Downsview, Bathurst Manor, Armour Heights and York University Heights.
Offices, retail units, restaurants and commercial buildings: fit-outs, panels, lighting and repairs.
Factories, warehouses and industrial units: 3-phase power, machine wiring and troubleshooting.
Electrical subcontracting for general contractors on renovations and new builds.
Panel upgrades, rewiring, aluminium wiring, EV chargers and repairs for North York homeowners.

Most of the houses we work on in North York were built between 1950 and 1975. That means 100-amp panels that were sized for a much smaller electrical load, two-wire circuits with no ground, and in some 1960s and 1970s subdivisions aluminium branch wiring. Adding a heat pump, an induction range, a hot tub or an EV charger usually pushes those panels past their limit, so we start with a load calculation and tell you honestly whether a panel upgrade is needed or whether a smaller fix will do.
At the other end, the condo towers along Sheppard Avenue and Yonge Street need work that fits strata rules: charger installations with load-sharing, common-area lighting, and coordinated shutdowns. We are used to working with property managers and condo boards on both.
